Eve Film Festival (EFF) proudly accepts entries via FilmFreeway.com

TERMS of Eligibility

  • Priority: Submissions must be directed or co-directed by a woman (cis, trans, or genderqueer).

  • We accept: narrative, documentary, animation, experimental, dance, and any genre of film, from any level of skill (including student and youth filmmakers).

  • Premiere Status: EFF accepts films that have premiered elsewhere. however, films should be Ottawa premieres (meaning they have not been previously screened in Ottawa prior to the festival date. This includes, but is not limited to, theatrical screenings, broadcast, online streaming, and other public exhibitions). Please note: any paid public exhibition in Ottawa or public online broadcast following the submission may void acceptance in the festival. Please contact the EFF programming team at evefilmfestival@gmail.com with any questions pertaining to eligibility.

  • Notice of Content: misrepresentation or missing information may lead to the disqualification of your submission.

  • Completion Status: films must be completed prior to submission. Films still in progress should be submitted to a future edition of the festival.

  • Origins: EFF will give equal consideration to local, national, and international films.

  • Formats: Entries must be available for screening at the festival on DVD, Blu-Ray, or digital file (upon agreement with the festival programming team).

  • Language: All films must either be in English or include proper English subtitles (i.e. correct spelling and grammar, visible text colour, etc.)

  • Notice of No-Return: Because of a small staff, we cannot return any materials submitted. Screeners are not shared outside of our submissions committee.

DEADLINES

Early Bird Deadline: October 1, 2017

Regular Deadline: April 15th, 2018

Submissions must be received via our approved submission platform by the expressed deadline to be considered for the 2nd edition of the Eve Film Festival.
